about

Formed late in 2008, Midnight Horizon stormed onto the Sydney music scene with a vengeance, delivering their own take on punk rock wholeheartedly. From hugely energetic live performances to their more mellow recorded material, Midnight Horizon’s morally and politically charged music has seen them push the boundaries of the more traditional aspects of the punk genre with their simple goal: to spread their message of empathy, unity and unbridled anger.

Having already accomplished a number of commendable achievements including the release of their four track EP, “Get Off The Bandwagon”, participation in the Grand Final of Emergenza Australia and inclusion in a number of festival line-ups, Midnight Horizon continue to establish a substantial foot hold within the Sydney music scene.

Midnight Horizon has enjoyed the hospitality of many of Sydney’s finest live music venue’s including the Metro Lair, the Factory Theatre, the Metro Theatre along with the Annandale hotel, one of the most prestigious venue’s on offer. As such they have enjoyed rave reviews of their live performances, heavily praised for their presence both on and off the stage.

Mid-2011 has seen further releases of independently recorded and released material issue from the Midnight Horizon camp including acoustic tracks, the launch of their MHTV channel in conjunction with the audition and addition of the charismatic Christine McHugh to the Midnight Horizon roster. Alongside these achievements Midnight Horizon proudly maintain a strong online presence, providing constant updates of the various happenings within the band.

The members of Midnight Horizon pride themselves on their self sufficient operation and as such it comes as no surprise that each and every member have furthered themselves in many aspects of the music industry.

Newest member Christine is an experienced Tour Coordinator, Jam 4 Awareness Ambassador as well as an incredibly talented solo artist. Conor provides constant inspiration, his battle with vision impairment has never held him back from acting as Powerhouse Drummer, Lyricist and Avid Vocalist.

Dan counts Designer, Engineer and Composer as well as Guitarist amongst his many strengths, including a profound talent with multiple instruments while the final leg of Midnight Horizon occupies a world of literary content. Bassist and Engineer by day, modern-day ghostwriter by night, Matt is a poet of all things charming and intangible.
