minimal complexity

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, for the sake of the assumed mass hangover that has undoubtedly clouded a large number of all our minds in the post-Christmas and post-New Years celebrations it is hoped that this shortish blog shall not cause anyones brain to overload and detonate with all the force of a watermelon being assaulted with a sledgehammer and that it’s complexity is minimal.

Some more exciting news for Midnight Horizon in the young days of the New Year include our foray back into the wonderful world of recording. That’s right, for all you old die hards out there we are in the process of recording Hypocrite, one of our very first original pieces and for all those of you who may not be familiar with this track, we encourage you to drag yourselves along to the next Midnight Horizon show which we shall hopefully be announcing in the near future.

More news on this recording front, yet again our wonderful photographer Julia Trotti once again played fast and loose with her sanity by joining the boys in the studio and managed to catch a few snippets of the chaos and………affection?…….that was present during the process. The first of many clips to come has been posted on our Youtube channel and if you haven’t already checked it out we advise you to and if you have DO IT AGAIN! This first clip sheds much light upon the term “close relationship” between the band and their engineer, Keegan Thomson.

On an interesting side note, Dan has been busy putting together scores for some independent film work, whilst Conor and Matt have also been keeping themselves busy, the details of which will surely be unveiled during our next blog…….or the one after that……….or the one after that……..ok, fine, we’ll tell you at some point………maybe.

And finally, some food for thought. If up was down and down were up would Matt still insist on making toffee using a soup spoon, two soft drink cans, a pair of under pants and a lava lamp?

Stay tuned for much more madness to come, next blog the pros and cons of using penguins as guard dogs, what are your thoughts?

Matt
