Up the system!
Well ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it’s that time again. That’s right! Midnight Horizon are back with another one of our amazingly insightful blogs!
Well it’s been an extremely busy past couple of months in the Horizon camp and as such, regrettably, we’ve neglected our wonderful fans. So, in order to slake your thirst for the many delightfully insane events that curiously occur upon the gathering of your’s truly we have tales of adventure with lots of pretty pictures to satisfy your corneas.
Firstly, the guys are proud to announce that, with a generous amount of support, they have managed to secure themselves a place in the National Finals of the Emergenza band competition. This means that they are now in the running for the chance to travel to Germany and rock the stage along with the finalists from all the other national heats of the competition from around the world!
A special thank you goes out to all those who attended the epic performance at the Factory Theatre, an experience that all of us in Midnight Horizon were so thrilled to finally see come to fruition. And on a side note, Conors mother is extremely proud of her son, so thank you again for making Conor’s mother glow with pride.
The final’s shall be taking place on the 18th of December from 6pm onwards at the Metro Theatre (on the main stage!), tickets are available via midnighthorizonmusic@gmail.com or contacting Midnight Horizon via Facebook, Myspace or directly through the band members. Did we mention if you email us about tickets, we've got some free CD's! and wait, there's more. We'll even throw in the new tunes that haven't been released yet!
Secondly, we have a brand spanking new song for you and as a special little treat we thought that we’d make it an acoustic track! Yes, shock, horror, the boys actually have a more subtle taste within them and managed to pull it off with great success (delicious I believe would aptly describe it).
This new track, Do What You Like, shall soon be available for your aural delight on both the Facebook and Myspace so keep an eye out.
Along with the release of Do What You Like we’re also proud to tell you that we have once again dived back into the studio and are assembling a bunch of new songs, a mixture of full band tracks and some more acoustic material cause hey, why the hell not! Updates shall of course be forth coming as we make our way through our list of things to do and don’t worry, these tracks shall be up as soon as we can get them to you all!
On a side note both Matt and Dan have continued to pursue their own recording projects and as such have managed to get a significant amount of recording featuring other up and coming talent under their belts. Lots of pretty pictures of these eventful, to say the least, sessions are in the process of being developed, retouched or have already been posted online.
These are available for viewing on jtrotti.blogspot.com , courtesy of Julia Trotti, our amazing photographer, who has kindly allowed us to post some of our self shot work and who has also amassed a collection of some incredible work (seriously, this girl is a genius with a camera, so please check out her work, there’s pretty ladies for the men and some half decent blokes for the ladies……or the men………..for both……..for both……this just got complicated!).
So once again, Midnight Horizon would like to thank all of you web sharks for prowling our pages and don’t be afraid to drop us a line at any time, even if you do want to just insult Matt and call him girlie……( matt.midnighthorizon@gmail.com )though that’s maybe not such a good idea…he’s mean sometimes…..then again, both you and he may get a kick from some of his more eccentric moments.
Up the system!
if you want to find out what the rope is for, email matt. seriously.
